"The Lost" - GPS trophy race - Razgrad, Bulgaria

With the approval of the ORGA team, i am glad to welcome you to the GPS trophy race in Bulgaria.

The event is held in Razgrad, 62 kms from Russe, from January 28th 2015.

Here is the complete info.

 

“Lost in Ludogorieto” ( The Lost ) – season 2015

 

2 day event:

Day 1 – Orientation via GPS waypoints

Day 2 – Orientation via azimut ( compass course ) driving.

 

Race fees:

- paid until 15.01.2015 – 60 BGN

- paid after 15.01.2015 – 100 BGN

 

Fee includes:

- race rights, stickers, race materials, prices, gifts and advertisement materials.

- Discount for accommodation

- surprise

 

Fee does not include

- fuel, accommodation costs, wash up of vehicle, medical insurance and so on…

 

There will be a tourist class also !!!

The track for the tourist class is made upon a standard tuned up 4wd vehicle ( must have minimum MT tires ).

The track will be in between 40 and 80 kms depending on the weather conditions.

A guide vehicles and a closing vehicle will be accompanying the tourist class vehicles.

 

Fees for tourist class:

- paid until 15.01.2015 – 30 BGN

- paid after 15.01.2015 – 50 BGN

Price per person per night in a double room : 30 BGN, additional bed in room – 15 BGN. In the price it is included a breakfast, SPA center ( steam bath, Turkish bath, finland sauna, infrared sauna, … ) parking, internet, tax …

 

Tax for the “fun part” at the evening in the restaurant – 20 BGN per person

Regulation book

 

1.Participation: The event is run by a 4wd vehicles with 2 axles, complete up to 3 tons, equipped with seat belts and fire extinguishers.

Right to race has all those who have paid the race fee, with the exclusion of those who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Those are checked visually by the race officers. At the start line only vehicles that are eligible are allowed to enter the race day – equipped with seatbelts, all fastened equipment inside, race numbers placed and all sponsor stickers positioned. All team members must at all time wear helmets. The drivers can have co-drivers to help them guide in the terrain. People under 18 year’s old must have a written declaration from both parents allowing them to enter the competition.

 

2.Race day 1 - 31/01/2015

2.1. All competitors receive a list with GPS coordinates, which they have to find.

2.2. All competitors start together from a base starting position, which will be pin pointed before the race day.

2.3. Each team must find the points in random order by their meaning and driving. The list is numbered only to ease the organizers and for easier search for the competitors.

2.4. Each point will have a characterized marking for easier find.

2.5. Those who wish to race and receive a ranking, when fining a point, must take a photo with the found GPS point marker and a team member together. This gives them 1 point. If the point is reached by the vehicle, this gives the team 3 points. In order to grand 3 points, a team member must touch both the found numbered point and the race vehicle. On the photo this must be clearly seen together with the race number sticker on the vehicle!

New ! Extreme points. Those give 15 points and it is recommended for the vehicle to have a roll cage when running for them. The points granted are only given when the point is reached by the vehicle together with all team members.

2.6.End of the race day – 15:00 by the clock at the reception in the HQ of the event. Those who come late from the given time are ranked after those who managed to reach in time, no matter how many points they gathered.

2.7. Ranking is made by the number of points gained. Whose with equal points are ranked by those finished earlier.

 

3. Race day 2 – Navigation via compass course + bonus points / trail sections / - 01/02/2015

3.1.All competitors receive a list with azimuth / compass course / data + time card.

3.2. All competitors start together from a base starting position, which will be pin pointed before the race day.

3.3. Each team must search for the points / azimuts /. The points will be numbered and the order must be followed as written in the list.

3.4. At each point there will be a CP marshal, at which a stamp at the time card will be done. Each stamp gives 1 point.

3.5. The first 3 CPs must be collected upon 11:00. After this hour there won’t be any CP marshals there.

3.7. After reaching the last point, the teams are allowed to go through trail sections with gates. There is no certain order and it is by the teams driving and decision at which sections to enter and at what order. Each team is allowed to enter a trail section only once. The direction of driving is only one and it is shown at the place. Each trail section has a personal CP marshal and he will give a stamp in the time card of that section if it has been passed successfully. No external help is allowed at the trail sections. For successful passage the team must pass through all the gates in the given direction without any buntings broken or marking posts / gates bend or broken. Each stamp in the sections will give 10 points.

New ! Extreme sections – those extreme sections grand 2 stamps and it is recommended for the vehicle to have a roll cage !

3.8. After driving the sections, the team must go to the finish, where they show their time card.

3.6. End of the event is at 14:00. The teams finished after that time are ranked last no matter the points gained.

3.7. Ranking is made up of the number of points gained by the stamps given. If equal points occur, advantage is given to those finished earlier. If missing stamps in the time card or not keeping the time card clean and dry, there is no point given or taken.

 

4. General ranking is formed by the summary of the points of the 2 days. If there is equal number of points the summary of race time for both days is calculated and those with less time have the advantage.

 

5.It is strictly forbidden :

-Wood cutting

-making fire in the forest

-Driving over fertile/ agricultural land

- Unsportman behavior towards competitors, orga members, spectators and so on. This includes blockage of track, removal of markers and so on.

 

6.Obligatory equipment:

-GPS with the ability to enter coordinates.

- Fully recharged and photo cameras / GSM phones with cameras.

-Helmets for the pilot and co-pilot / not required for the tourist class

- Towing strap – 8 meters long !

- All required equipment regarding the Road rules in Republic of Bulgaria

 

7.Reccomended equipment – Aggressive tires and a winch.

 

The regulation book is not final. The organizer keeps his right to change the regulation book without notice but will inform the competitors about the changes in the briefing.

 

In the event of differences in interpretation of these regulations, only the Bulgarian text will be considered as binding.

 

 

The event is very friendly, with pleany of fun and atmosphere. It will be i think the 4th edition of this race so it has already been quite successful and nice to race.

adi v6 ne-a parasit tura asta....religia nu-i permite in acest weekend sa participe :smb

Here is the final ranking of the event...

I personally thank you all for joing us in Razgrad...

Next year for sure the organizer will make some changes in order to make all his trouble issues out of the schedule ...

Un eveniment prietenesc cu multa voie buna si cu trasee usoare si frumose.

Ca si nivel de dificultate sa va imaginati ca masina castigatoare a fost un Y60 2.8 scurt cu cauciucuri 33.

 

Taxe mici,cazare ok,mancare ok.

Am platit 100 leva de masina taxa de participare (concursul si 2 tricouri) si 20 leva de persoana petrecerea de sambata seara (mancare si bautura+DJ).

 

Sambata am primit 60 de coordonate si duminica 7 azimuturi urmate de un trial sincron.

 

Ca de obicei am fost placut impresionati de numarul mare de spectatori prezenti la trial cu toate ca a plouat toata ziua.

 

Un eveniment fain de inceput de an :wink:
