Guest utea
Salutare! My name is Ute, I am a girl (ok, woman) from Germany:grin: We are planning a 10-days-tour through Romania and have some questions I hope someone will answer:al:al In Germany there is a rumor going round, that you have to buy a 4x4-Vignette to be allowed to drive offroad! Is that true?? (i do not mean the Rovinietta for the streets and not the "Enduromania" Vignette!!) My second question concerns the Pasu de Urdele: Is it complete concrete now?? Or is a bit of gravel left? Is it still worth driving? Is it closed in winter? Thank you very very much, if someone answers me!! I thought about translating this with google, but I do not think it will make sense after that:wink: Cheers Ute
mirciulica
Re: Some questions Hello and welcome Related to that 4x4-Vignette is not necessary, you can drive without any problems, take care that the car was not leaking fuel or oil. Especially off the road. About the other questions, unfortunately I can not help but with a little patience you will get answers. You ask att the right place Good luck! :h5 Vrabia malai viseaza.....cum visez eu la un HDJ80...
Yonutz
Re: Some questions Rovigneta se plateste in Romania pentru a circula pe drumurile nationale.

mihai_ct
Re: Some questions Hallo Ich weiss nicht ob du alles verstanden hast was Yonutz gesagt hat. Yonutz
Re: Some questions Regarding the Urdele pass: yes, it's almost completely finished, it's concrete. But it's worth passing anyway, because it's a fantastic view and on the side you can find several great offroad routes. We can give you directions if you decide to come. It's probably closed right now, in some winters ther're parts with more than 1.5m high snow. This is normal, considering the pass is as high as 2150m. Last year in June the road was clear, but on both sides the snow was as high as the car in some places. As long as there's snow, the offroad routes are pretty much unaccesible anyway. The best months for offroading in that area are June(maybe July) until late October. On the other hand, I think this topic would look better in the International section, since it's tri-lingual :). f_zoltan
Re: Some questions No problem, it's already moved to its proper place, thanks to one of the coleagues. To make an idea about the state of the Urdele pass and the road to it, called Transalpina, here's a link about a trip I made on this route in the late Autumn with my kids and some friends of them. Sorry, the text is Romanian, but the pictures are acceptable even if there're made witha phone-camera. http://fmz.ro/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5:inceput-si-final-de-sezon-moto-pe-transalpina&catid=1:onroad&Itemid=4 Samurai incepator
