On friday we start our journey from Sweden to Romania!

I hope we´ll enter Romania on Monday, then we have about on week to spend! First we will go to Apuseni, then we´ll drive south to Transalpina, after that we go northeast through Petrosani to Transfargasa, we´ll then go east and follow the Carpathian Mountains north. I tried to follow the recommendations I´ve got from you guys! :)

 

It would be great to meet some people along the road! Maybe we will pass by close to some of you?

What plans do you have for Apuseni ? Is it settled or you will decide when you arrive ?

I´ve got some POI from Ionut, but Apuseni seems to be a very large area, I guess we will decide when we´re there. Any good suggestions? :)

Damn, you'll be a lot around my place (Petrosani) and I'd love to meet and maybe guide you around, but I'll leave home on Saturday for at least one week. The week! Anyway, if you can use my remote help, leave me a PM and I'll give you contact details, just in case.

Thanks everybody for giving us tips and offering your help if we had any problems, it was a good comfort to have numbers we could call if we needed.

But almost everything went really smooth and we really had a great time in Romania! The nature and the people are amazing!

 

It was very nice meeting you too Bogdan! I must say that Apuseni really made a great impression on me. We will by no doubt return to Romania!

 

And maybe some of you will come to Sweden someday :)

 

I´m writing a travel report with alot of pictures, I will post it here when it´s finished!

Glad to see everything went allright! Please, let us know when the travel report will be available, it's always interesting to see Romania through "unspoiled" eyes.
