Are there any English speaking forum members on here? If so, hello from Ojdula! Sorry I cannot speak Romanian yet, but I am working on it.

Nice place OJDULA.

You can see a lot of beautiful places there.

At 33 km is LAPSA and there you can see a beautiful falls and the forbiden rezervation is very interesting.

Also SOVEJA is a nice places but i understend the route LEPSA-SOVEJA is bad...but if you have 4x4...is not a problem.

Hi and thanks for the information. I go to Lepsa quite often to take tourists to the falls. However, I have not heard of the forbidden reservation. What is there exactly?

Before the falls is a concrete bridge.You mast to pass the brige and after that you must go right on the mud route (appx 700 m) and after that is the gate of reservation.

Inside the reservation the acces is only walking,after 8 km is a beautiful tunnel build by the german forces in world war 2.After the tunnel isn't no route...only the mountain.

I do this route in 4 hours up and 1,5 hours down and it must to have wather,food and flash lights from tunnel(very hight hummidity inside).

That sounds great. Do you know what the tunnel was built for by the Germans? What's the bear activity like there? Any bears walk through the tunnel? I have been getting a bit paranoid walking in dark places since that guy was killed in Commandau a few weeks ago! You can either post the photos on here or send them to me on paul@transylvania4x4tours.com

Ojdula-Covasna. That area seems to attract english speakers, I have a friend there too. In fact you might know each other, he told me about someone he knows around there.

Hi,

 

I am from Norfolk in the UK. Been coming to Ojdula since 1993 but now live here. A UK friend of mine has also moved to this region to the town of Covasna, and my cousin will be joining me soon. He is from Cheshire close to Manchester.

I am a lot cheaper than most suppliers in Romania. My only problem is the language barrier! If you live anywhere near me and can pick up that would be even cheaper!

 

When my Land Rover is parked near the school I am usually having coffee in the clothes shop. Stop and join me if you see my Defender there.
