"Chrysler Recalls 288,968 Jeep Wranglers For Possible Brake Fluid Leak

 

 

The Jeep Wrangler is made for summer: rugged and fun to drive, it's great for a quick trip to the beach or a weekend in the mountains. It's also a popular ride for youngsters looking for something sporty to motor around town or off to college. It's unfortunate, then, that Chrysler has issued a recall for nearly 290,000 Wranglers just about the time many young people are receiving graduation rides, and folks of all ages are planning getaways for the coming months.

The recall affects Wranglers from the 2007 - 2010 model years*. At issue: the right and left front brake tubes, could be rubbing against the right and left front inner fender liners. In certain circumstances, that friction could result in damage to the brake tubes, which could result in a lost of brake fluid, which could lead to a loss of braking ability, which is most definitely not good.

Chrysler is preparing to notify owners and dealers of the problem now, and repairs are expected to begin this month. If you own a Wrangler and have questions in the meantime, you can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236.

*Technically, the release summary includes the 2006 model, too, although we think that's a typo; the Wrangler began using its new JK platform in MY 2007, and to have a problem like this spanning two platforms would be a little unusual.

Ionute... sunt OK citatele tale de pe alte forumuri, dar nu castigi nimica sa-i trezesti pe cei de la reprezentanta... pe ei oricum nu ii intereseaza decat sa ai ba ore de munca.... care chiar si daca e vb de garantie sunt platite.

 

 

si Mercedesul a intors masini in service, si Dacia, si WV.....

 

Ar trebui sa te ingrijoreze exact ce probleme ai tu si sa ti le rezolvi cu cap, nu sa stai dupa garantie sau te miri ce... ce pot sa-ti spun este ca baietii de la "reprezentante" sunt cam pe dinafara cu ceea ce inseamna Wrangler ( de asta iti spun sigur ).... poate pe celelalte modele s-o pricepe :ha:

Nu vreti sa ma luati in serios. In Romania mometan nu se mai executa nici o garantie pentru Jeep. Incercati in Ungaria.

S a mai ajuns la vreo rezolvare privind acest subiect? :grin: (in post garantie ma refer ca singuri ne descurcam si noi)

La JK ul sport m am trezit anul trecut fara frane.

Pe partea stanga spate conducta era pa, am schimbat o din fata pana in spate si am pus un furtun pe ea sa nu mai frece.

Acum cateva zile cand m am uitat si la rubicon 25 mii km are un inceput, am pus si pe asta un furtun pe post de manson inainte sa fie prea tarziu.

Sunt curios ce solutii au preferat colegii, cred ca se poate decupa putin si din carenajul de plastic.
